# glp1medication.guide

Site grounding for agents without the glp1medication.guide repository: its seven charter files, unchanged except that headings sit two levels lower and every term id the pinned version defines, in the frontmatter blocks too, is followed by its label from the pinned version. The YAML blocks are therefore for reading, not parsing; the repo files are the source.

### BRAND

#### Name and entity
glp1medication.guide (alternate name: GLP-1 Medication Guide), published and edited by Thomas Prommer. Entity home: https://glp1medication.guide/en/about/ (`about.manifest.json`, schema about-manifest/v2). Founded August 2026. Contact comms@flywheel.bz.

#### Promise
The numbers on GLP-1 medicines rather than the reassurance, each one with its source next to it.

#### Personality
The sage. It explains what a label says and what a trial measured, at which dose and in which week, and it says plainly when no trial has tested something. It does not sell, persuade or reassure. When a claim is common online and unsupported, the page says so.

#### Visual pointers
`design/tokens.json` (built by `design/build_tokens.py`). Page templates live in `gen.py`; brand assets under `site/assets/img/brand/`.

#### Do / Don't
Do: attach the citation and the read date to every number. Do: state the dose and the trial week with every efficacy figure. Do: say "no trial has tested this" when that is the answer.
Don't: rank vendors, telehealth services or compounders. Don't: give dosing protocols or treatment advice. Don't: add efficacy numbers that nobody has read from a label or trial. Don't: present the publisher as a clinician.

```
### VOICE: glp1medication.guide
> Loaded by /humanizer (Step 0) and the content publishing gate (drafting Step 1
> + humanizer Step 3). If absent, both fall back to generic mode.
> Agent draft 2026-10-03 from published pages and about.manifest.json. Pending owner review.
> YMYL: no page is a clinical opinion. Voice never overrides medical accuracy.
#### 1. Identity & Register
- Voice owner / who speaks: the site, addressing the reader as "you"; "we" only for how the site works ("We re-check these pages against their primary sources"). Published and edited by Thomas Prommer, who is not a physician.
- Register: consumer reference, plain language, technical terms defined once.
- Language/locale: en source; 21 locale editions in 14 languages. Regulatory and brand pages are localised by hand, not machine-translated.
- One-line essence: "The numbers on GLP-1 medicines rather than the reassurance, with the dose, the week and the source attached to each one."
#### 2. Audience
- Primary audience: adults considering or using a GLP-1 medicine who want the evidence (AUDIENCE.md evidence-checkers); also access comparers and training athletes.
- Reader's job-to-be-done: know what the label approves and what a trial measured before talking to a prescriber.
- Assume they know the brand names (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro). Always explain trial names, doses, the week a number was measured, and what "off-label" means.
#### 3. Tone Axes
- Formal   ───●───  Casual
- Authority ●─────  Peer
- Serious  ●──────  Playful
- Concise  ──●────  Expansive
- Default editorial_track: factual
#### 4. Person, POV & Cadence
- Person: second (you); first-plural only for the site's own process.
- Sentence rhythm: answer first, often a one-word "No." or "Yes." followed by the qualifying fact. Declarative, short to medium sentences.
- Paragraph length: 2 to 5 sentences.
- Keep: the direct answer before the context; "no trial has tested this" when true; naming the two concrete risks rather than a list of every possible one. Avoid: hedging chains, reassurance, motivational lines.
#### 5. Lexicon
- Preferred terms: label, indication, off-label, randomised trial, phase 2/phase 3, dose step, the week a result was measured, primary source.
- Banned phrases (beyond the humanizer list): "miracle", "game-changer", "melt fat", "wellness journey", "talk to your doctor" as a closing filler without a reason, any protocol phrasing ("take X mg on day Y").
- Capitalization & spelling rules: "GLP-1" with hyphen and capitals; generic names lower case (semaglutide, tirzepatide), brand names capitalised (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, Rybelsus); regulator names FDA, EMA. British spelling appears on published pages ("randomised", "hypoglycaemia"); keep each locale edition consistent with itself.
- Domain-jargon level: trial and regulatory terms are fine when defined at first use.
#### 6. E-E-A-T / Experience Claims
- Authentic experience this voice can claim: none clinical. The publisher tracks his own body composition, appetite, training load and metabolic health with data (about.manifest.json history; self-stated, unverified in BRAND.md c4).
- Named author + bio source: Thomas Prommer, publisher and editor; bio at https://glp1medication.guide/en/about/ and https://prommer.net/.
- Quantified credential for bios: more than 20 years leading engineering and technology strategy, including Adidas, Sweetgreen and Huge (about.manifest.json people). This is not a medical credential and must never be framed as one.
- Citation posture: every factual claim cites a regulator label (FDA, EMA), a peer-reviewed trial or systematic review, or the manufacturer's own material, listed at the foot of the page with the date read. Where sources disagree, say so.
- Original-data hooks this voice owns: the country approvals table (`country-approvals.json`), the regulatory verification record, the dose chart and calculator tools.
- "What I got wrong" angle: not yet sourced. No clinician has reviewed the pages, and most pages say so; that disclosure stays until a named reviewer exists.
#### 7. Gold-Standard Examples
- Example A (from https://glp1medication.guide/en/microdosing/): "Microdosing means taking less than the label says and staying there. No regulator recognises the term and no randomised trial has tested it, so every claim about how well it works is extrapolated from data collected at higher doses. These seven pages set out the approved schedules, the trial numbers with the week and the dose attached, and the risks that a smaller dose does not change."
  - Why on-voice: defines the term, states the evidence gap first, and promises numbers with dose and week.
- Example B (from https://glp1medication.guide/en/glp1-and/glp1-and-alcohol): "If you have stopped wanting your usual drink since starting a GLP-1, that is a documented effect and not your imagination. A phase 2 randomised trial of low-dose semaglutide in adults with alcohol use disorder cut alcohol consumed in a laboratory self-administration task, and a larger randomised trial has since been published. Nothing about that makes the drug an approved treatment for drinking, and it does not make alcohol safe to ignore while you are on one."
  - Why on-voice: speaks to the reader directly, names the trial type, and separates evidence from approval.
#### 8. Anti-References
- Telehealth and compounder landing pages that funnel to a prescription.
- Wellness influencer tone: transformation stories, "my protocol", supplement stacks.
- Generic health-publisher listicles that give percentages without the dose, trial or week.
### STRATEGY
#### Mission
We give people who are considering or taking a GLP-1 medicine the numbers from the labels and the trials, each with its source, so they can go into a conversation with their prescriber knowing what has been measured and what has not.
#### Positioning
Authority depth first: claims are written against FDA and EMA labels, peer-reviewed trials and systematic reviews, and every page carries its citations with a read date. Locality second: the site tracks approvals by country (`country-approvals.json`, `regulatory-verification.json`) and publishes in 14 languages. Speed of answer third: pages open with the direct answer ("No. No GLP-1 holds an alcohol use disorder indication"). We concede breadth of personal stories and community, and we do not compete on price or vendor comparison.
#### Audiences
Evidence checkers are people considering or already using semaglutide, tirzepatide or a newer GLP-1 who want the label and trial numbers rather than the reassurance. Access comparers want to know whether a drug is approved where they live, for which indication, and how that differs from other countries. Training athletes want to know what a GLP-1 means for fuelling, creatine, endurance work and anti-doping rules. All three are adults; none is addressed as a patient group defined by a diagnosis.
#### Competitors
Telehealth and compounding vendors whose content funnels to a prescription, manufacturer patient sites, general health publishers that summarise without the dose and week attached, and forums and social video where unsupported claims about microdosing and peptides spread.
#### What we will not do
No vendor rankings, telehealth or compounder buying guides, or affiliate links. No advertising and no pharmaceutical sponsor. No dosing protocols, supplement offers or treatment recommendations, and no clinical opinion. No efficacy percentages that nobody has read from a label or trial. No brand-by-question near-duplicate pages. No machine translation of the US regulatory and brand pages as they are. Sources: about.manifest.json, content-plan.json `bad_ideas_to_refuse`.
#### Bets for the horizon
1. Ship the 35 planned pages in the five content-plan clusters (brands, tools and three hand-written clusters) to widen search entry points (moves gsc_clicks, pageview_recorded).
2. Keep country approvals current and localise the regulatory pages by hand per market, not by machine translation (moves pageview_recorded, gsc_impressions).
3. Grow the "what actually changed" email, sent only when a primary source changes (moves newsletter_subscribed).
### AUDIENCE
#### Evidence checkers
Adults considering or already using semaglutide, tirzepatide, liraglutide or a newer GLP-1 who want the numbers rather than the reassurance: what the label approves, what each trial measured at which dose and week, and where no trial exists. They read in 14 languages. Source: about.manifest.json who-we-serve.
#### Access comparers
Adults checking whether a drug is approved where they live, for which indication, under which brand name, and how that compares with other countries. Source: country-approvals.json and the access pages.
#### Training athletes
Adults who train and want to know how a GLP-1 medicine affects fuelling, endurance work, creatine use and anti-doping status. A watch segment: a handful of pages serve it today. Source: the glp1-and pages on fuelling, creatine and doping.
#### Excluded audiences
Not written for: anyone looking for a vendor, telehealth or compounder ranking; anyone looking for a dosing or microdosing protocol; readers who want a clinical opinion about their own treatment; minors. Source: STRATEGY.md section What we will not do.
### MONETIZATION
#### Revenue model
None today. The site sells nothing, takes no advertising and has no pharmaceutical sponsor (about.manifest.json). The single line below is an idea an agent wrote so the file is valid. It is not planned and carries no number. It would not change any reader page. Whether the site should earn anything is the owner's call.
#### Disclosure rules
Any commercial relationship that touches a page is disclosed on that page. No manufacturer, telehealth service, compounder or advertiser shapes a page. If any line ever goes live, the About page commercial-stance text changes in the same release.
#### Not monetised
No advertising, no pharmaceutical sponsorship, no affiliate links, no vendor or telehealth rankings, no supplement offers, no paid placements. The "what actually changed" email is free and is a KPI, not a revenue line. Sources: about.manifest.json copy.commercialStance, content-plan.json bad_ideas_to_refuse.
#### Country approvals dataset, licensing idea
An idea only. The country approvals and regulatory verification datasets are maintained for the site. Licensing them to researchers or publishers would not change any reader page. No buyer, price or program has been checked. Needs an owner decision before status moves past idea.
### KPI
#### Why these metrics
pageview_recorded is the primary: the site sells nothing, so the number it is run on is how many people read the evidence. gsc_clicks, gsc_impressions and avg_position show whether search finds the pages across the locale editions. content_engaged shows whether the long evidence pages are read past the answer. newsletter_subscribed counts sign-ups to the "what actually changed" email (Sendy form in `gen.py`). affiliate_clicked is listed only because the editorial-traffic template requires it; the site has no affiliate links, so it should stay at zero. crawl_errors and pages_indexed are the guardrails while 21 locale editions grow.
#### Reading guide
Read weekly pageview_recorded against the `(site)` value target in kpi-mgmt once one is entered (none exists yet). A rise in gsc_impressions without gsc_clicks points to titles, not content. Any non-zero affiliate_clicked is a tracking error, since no affiliate link exists.
#### Review cadence
Monthly while the content-plan clusters ship, quarterly against the 12-month bets in STRATEGY.md.
