# bestpeptides.guide

Site grounding for agents without the bestpeptides.guide repository: its seven charter files, unchanged except that headings sit two levels lower and every term id the pinned version defines, in the frontmatter blocks too, is followed by its label from the pinned version. The YAML blocks are therefore for reading, not parsing; the repo files are the source.

### BRAND

#### Name and entity
bestpeptides.guide, an independent reference site published by Thomas Prommer. Entity home: https://bestpeptides.guide/en/about/ (source of the entity facts: `about.manifest.json`). Registered 2026-08-29.

#### Promise
You can check what is known about a peptide compound, in people, and what its regulatory status really is, without a seller shaping the answer.

#### Personality
The sage: explains what the evidence shows and where it stops, and says so plainly when a claim rests on rat studies or on a trial that was never published. It corrects the widely repeated version of a regulatory story with the primary document. The site is the opposite of a vendor guide.

#### Visual pointers
Design tokens: `design/tokens.json`. Locked palette and type: `DESIGN.md` (Oxblood palette, Instrument Serif and Newsreader). Homepage plan: `IMPLEMENTATION-PLAN.md`.

#### Do / Don't
Do: state what a source measured, and in whom. Do: say "restricted status unchanged, a committee has considered it" for the compounding story. Do: give the reason when a page carries no dosing. Do: cite the Federal Register document, not a vendor page.
Don't: add vendor rankings, "best place to buy" pages or seller affiliate links. Don't: write that any peptide is legal to compound as of 2026. Don't: present animal or in-vitro work as human evidence. Don't: publish a dosing table where no human efficacy dose exists.

person: charter:voice-person-first-plural (first person plural)

essence: Says what a peptide has been shown to do in people, and what the regulator has actually done, in plain words with the source beside the claim.
```
### VOICE: bestpeptides.guide
> Loaded by /humanizer (Step 0) and the content publishing gate (drafting Step 1
> + humanizer Step 3). If absent, both fall back to generic mode.
> Drafted by an agent on 2026-10-03 from the live English pages, `AGENTS.md` and `HANDOVER.md`. Not yet signed off by the owner.
#### 1. Identity & Register
- Voice owner / who speaks: the bestpeptides.guide editors, first-person plural where a voice is needed ("we publish no dosing"), third person for facts. Published by Thomas Prommer (`about.manifest.json`).
- Register: product (an independent evidence reference, not a vendor and not a clinic)
- Language/locale: en (source language); de, fr, es, pt are separate editorial efforts per market, not translations of the English map
- One-line essence: "Says what a peptide has been shown to do in people, and what the regulator has actually done, in plain words with the source beside the claim."
#### 2. Audience
- Primary audience: people researching a named peptide compound (segment `compound-researchers`)
- Reader's job-to-be-done: find out what human evidence exists for a compound and whether it is lawful, before deciding anything
- Assume they know: the compound's name and what it is sold for. Always explain: what kind of evidence a source is (human trial, animal study, conference abstract), the difference between a committee vote and a regulatory status change, and what an approved label does and does not allow.
#### 3. Tone Axes  (mark where this voice sits)
- Formal   ────●──  Casual
- Authority ──●────  Peer
- Serious  ●───────  Playful
- Concise  ───●────  Expansive
- Default editorial_track: factual
#### 4. Person, POV & Cadence
- Person: first-plural for what the site does or declines to do, third person for facts and compounds
- Sentence rhythm: the verdict in the first sentence, then the evidence behind it. Plain declaratives. A short sentence lands the caveat.
- Paragraph length: 2 to 4 sentences
- Structural tics to keep: a "Why we publish no dosing" section where no human efficacy dose exists; a regulatory-status section that names the Federal Register document; an FAQ answer that starts with "No." or "Yes." Avoid: hype, urgency, rhetorical questions as openers.
- Medical claims rule: never present animal or in-vitro evidence as human evidence; never cite an FDA endpoint for a compound FDA has no record of.
#### 5. Lexicon
- Preferred terms: human evidence, rat studies, conference abstract, restricted status unchanged, 503A Bulks List, advisory committee vote (non-binding), approved label, foreign-registered label
- Banned phrases (beyond humanizer's generic list): "legal to compound" as a statement of current status, "FDA is reviewing it so it may be approved soon", "best place to buy", "research chemical" as a euphemism, "stack" as a recommendation, "biohack", "miracle"
- Capitalization & spelling rules: BPC-157, TB-500, MOTS-c, GLP-1 (compound names as the page's own entity record spells them); "Category 2" and "503A" as FDA writes them; US spelling on /en/
- Domain-jargon level: low to moderate. Define the compound class and the regulatory term in a clause on first use.
#### 6. E-E-A-T / Experience Claims  (anchors gate Step 7)
- Authentic experience this voice can claim: none personal and no clinical. The site can show sourcing and the discipline of separating human from animal evidence. It must not imply that anyone on the team has used, prescribed or dispensed a peptide.
- Named author + bio source: publisher Thomas Prommer (`about.manifest.json`, founder and publisher; summary150 calls him an AI and technology-strategy executive). No named medical reviewer. Gap: the owner has not named one.
- Quantified credential for bios: none claimed. Do not write a medical or pharmacy credential for any byline.
- Citation posture: primary sources inline, named by document: Federal Register number and docket, trial registry entry, the journal or the conference abstract. No vendor pages and no certificates of analysis as evidence.
- Original-data hooks this voice owns: the structured entity records in `content-map/peptide-entities.json`, including `regulatory_provenance`; comparison tables generated from them; the dosage calculator for the nine compounds that have an approved or foreign-registered label.
- "What I got wrong" angle: the corrections this site makes to common claims, such as the April 2026 Category 2 removal that never happened. Source each one to the document.
#### 7. Gold-Standard Examples  (few-shot anchor, highest leverage)
- Example A (from https://bestpeptides.guide/en/peptides/bpc-157/, lede): "BPC-157 has no published human efficacy trial for any use. Its healing claims for tendons, ligaments and the gut rest on rat studies, and the one controlled human trial, in ulcerative colitis, was completed but its results were never published. No pharmacy has lawful authority to compound it in the US."
  - Why on-voice: the verdict first, the evidence type named, the legal point stated without spin.
- Example B (from https://bestpeptides.guide/en/peptides/bpc-157/, section "Why we publish no dosing"): "No dose from any human efficacy study of BPC-157 is publicly available. Without one, a dosing table or calculator would be invention presented as arithmetic. We do not repeat the doses sold online, and this site will never carry a BPC-157 calculator."
  - Why on-voice: says what the site refuses and gives the reason in one plain sentence.
#### 8. Anti-References  (do NOT sound like)
- Vendor review sites that rank sellers on certificates of analysis.
- Forum and influencer tone that treats rat studies as proof.
- Wellness-brand copy ("unlock", "optimize", "stack").
- Regulatory spin: "FDA is reviewing it, so it may be approved soon."
### STRATEGY
#### Mission
Most of what a reader finds about peptides is written by sellers, so we publish what has actually been shown in people and what the regulator has actually done, with the source beside every claim.
#### Positioning
Authority depth first: every compound page separates human evidence from animal and in-vitro work, and every legal-status sentence traces to a Federal Register document. Locality second: the five languages are separate editorial efforts, because the discourse is framed differently per market (German search reads "Peptide" as collagen and skincare, French leads with legality). We concede speed of answer and any buying advice.
#### Audiences
Compound researchers: people who searched a named peptide such as BPC-157 or retatrutide and want to know what is known about it, in people, and whether it is lawful. They know the compound's name from a forum, a vendor or a podcast. They may not know the difference between a Category 2 listing and a committee vote, so each page explains it.
#### Competitors
Grey-market vendor review sites that rank on certificates of analysis, and vendor pages that repeat the claim that peptides came off FDA Category 2 in April 2026. Source: `AGENTS.md`, `HANDOVER.md`.
#### What we will not do
No vendor rankings, "best place to buy" pages or seller affiliate links. No sentence saying a peptide is legal to compound. No dosing table or calculator for a compound with no published human efficacy dose, and none for a compound with no approved or foreign-registered label. No pages on peptides for IBD or for concussion and TBI, and no page on avoiding surgery. All three are held because they are about delaying real treatment. Source: `HANDOVER.md`.
#### Bets for the horizon
1. Publish the linked sections that currently return 404 (compare, guides, tools, safety), so the homepage promise is true (moves pageview_recorded).
2. Fill the most-searched compound pages with the human-evidence and regulatory-status structure the BPC-157 page uses (moves gsc_clicks).
3. Ship the German and French hubs with their own framing, not as translations (moves gsc_impressions).
#### Compound researchers
People researching a named peptide compound who want the human evidence and the regulatory status before deciding anything. They arrive from a search for the compound or a question about its legality. They are not assumed to be clinicians. Source: `AGENTS.md`, `HANDOVER.md`, `briefs/site.md`.
```

### MONETIZATION

#### Revenue model
The sources state no revenue plan. The only firm rule is what the site refuses: vendor money. The single line below is an idea written by an agent so the file is not empty. It is not planned and carries no number.

#### Disclosure rules
Any commercial relationship that shapes a page is disclosed on that page. No seller, vendor or compounder pays for a ranking, a mention or a link. Source: `AGENTS.md`, `HANDOVER.md`.

#### Not monetised
No vendor rankings, "best place to buy" pages or affiliate links to sellers. Research on 2026-08-24 found the grey-market vendor affiliate model pays $20-60 a sale, and that the publisher carries liability for deceptive claims (FTC v. LeadClick Media, 2d Cir. 2016). Source: `AGENTS.md`, `HANDOVER.md`.

#### Display ads on reference pages
An idea only. Health topics carry restricted ad demand, and ads beside medical-claims pages need category blocking. Needs an owner decision before status moves past idea.

### KPI

#### Why these metrics
The site is pre-launch and run on reach, so pageview_recorded is the primary. gsc_clicks, gsc_impressions and avg_position show whether the compound pages are found for the names people search. content_engaged shows whether a page is read to the evidence section. newsletter_subscribed stays from the template but the site emits no signup event yet. affiliate_clicked stays because the template requires it, and it must read zero: the site refuses seller affiliate links. crawl_errors and pages_indexed are the guardrails while the page count grows from the five locales.

#### Reading guide
Read pageview_recorded weekly against the `(site)` target in kpi-mgmt once one exists. A nonzero affiliate_clicked is a policy breach, not a win. Rising pages_indexed with flat gsc_clicks means the pages are indexed but not answering the query.

#### Review cadence
Quarterly, with the 12-month bets in STRATEGY.md.
